What are Rubefacients?
Both hot and cold sensates can feel pleasant on the skin. This is due to their action as rubefacients or counter-irritants when applied to the surface of the skin. Rubefacient herbs are a class of botanicals which have a unique effect when applied to the skin.
How do Rubefacients work?
Rubefacients range in their effects, some have a ‘warming’ effect, and others a ‘cooling’ effect. Each Natural Hero product is blended with between 4 and 6 rubefacient plant extracts in an over 98% natural base formulation.
What does Natural Hero do?
